The Lospec Palette List is a database of palettes for pixel art. We include both palettes that originate from old hardware that could only display a few colors, as well as palettes created by pixel artists specifically for making art. All palettes can be downloaded and imported into your pixelling software of choice (learn how). You can also try a our palette of the day or a random palette.

A palette with vibrant saturated colors that maintain a grounded and balanced style. With highlights ramping towards hot colors, and the shadows ramping towards cold you will have an immersive contrast that is pleasing to the eye.
Palette examples. Note how the less saturated brown examples used for trees/sand can help boost colors around it. You can have similar desaturated cold lifeless metals, wood, etc to apply this affect in other cases. For best use avoid mixing the brown ramps as this is intended to be used for specific cases where you need more contrast. - by Asarge

A Super Nintendo Sprite Palette I Made With The 16 Color Limit Of The SNES Palette, And Uses The 15 Bit RGB Of The SNES, "Each SNES sprite can have 16 colors and a palette slot out of 8 total palette slots." (https://megacatstudios.com/blogs/retro-development/snes-sprite-engine-design-guidelines)

These are all the unique colors used for NPCs and Overworld Objects in the GameBoy Color games Pokémon Gold, Silver & Crystal. I collected every color found in the npc_sprites.pal file in the Overworld graphics folder of polishedcrystal, a disassembly romhack of Pokémon Crystal, converted all the 15 bit RGB values to 16 bit RGB values and then those to HEX, removed any duplicate color shared between palettes and tried to order them as logically as I could. The original palettes can be found here: https://github.com/Rangi42/polishedcrystal/tree/master/gfx/overworld
