pxlwrds @pxlwrds Pixels and words This started off as a study of Jab 3 of Piranha Plant from Smash Bros. Ultimate. I wanted to try something difficult, and I wanted to animate a spherical object, but didn't know how, so I decided to make a study from Smash. It took ages. This is the first work I ever made on Aseprite that made me feel like I'd made something truly beautiful. I really like it, hope others do too :)

Holy cungadero! The animation is super smooth pal! Great job!  :D  As for critique, the only I can think of is the animation after Pirahna Plant chomps. He makes like a zigzag path after he chomps, not sure if that was intentional.  Still, it looks great!

Hey, I'm so glad you like it! As for the zigzag, now that you mention it I totally see it. I intended for that to be a kind of 'end-lag', the idea was that his head's heavy and it sags, so it takes him effort to bring it back up. I see now that It's too fast, and the story isn't being communicated well by the animation. I think more intentional use of tags in aseprite might help me keep in mind the storyline next time, I must have forgotten to pay attention to this when adjusting all the frame timings at the end. Thanks for the feedback :D
