standardise and publish gallery acceptance procedure
The process for pieces in the queue getting accepted doesnt seem standardised to me - if there is a process could it be looked at, standardised and published? For example, what are moderators looking for when they approcve or decline submissions? Are submissions declined, or left in the queue forever? Currently there are a number of old pieces in the queue, that have not been published and need to be rejected or approved before newer submissions are considered.
If there is not a standard process, I suggest:
1. Ensure approvals are carried out every day, by moderators acorss time zones to account for submitters around the world.
1.a. If no such moderators exist, empower trusted members of the community
2. Prioritise oldest pieces first, especially pieces that are tagged with the daily tag - ideally no piece should be in the queue for more than 24 hours
3. Reject submissions that do not meet the acceptance criteria (low quality, spam, hate, etc) and inform the user auttomatically via an in-site notificaton that includes the reason
4. If no acceptance criteria exists, create a list and publish it on the submissins page so that users are aware their submission may be rejected and under what terms
