Cronos @diego-fung "The Fallen Angel" by Alexandre Cabanel has been, for me, one of the greatest paintings of the 19th-century Academicist period.

Personally, it is a work that represents various stages present in human nature, from anger and resentment to bitterness.

On the other hand, I believe that Cabanel, in his time, knew how to capture those emotions within Lucifer, making his work a combination of semiotics and biblical romanticism.

For this reason, creating a design inspired by this artist has been one of my greatest desires. That said, the idea was simple and clear: to depict The Fallen Angel, but at the same time, give it a slightly different tone without losing the aesthetics of the original painting.

My intention was to use Cabanel's structure to later transform the design into a kind of 19th-century-style woodcut or copper engraving. To achieve this, I based my color choices on those used by the artist Zbigniew M. Bielak, who created the covers for the movie Amadeus and the album Infestissumam, along with his conceptual artworks, which are absolutely mind-blowing.

In this way, I created a seven-color image that preserves both quality and the desired pixelation.

I hope you like it!
