DESCRIPTION: One of the key figures in the history of video games—and, by extension, pixel art—was Atari. Without Atari, video games as we know them wouldn't exist, and without them, the graphics engines that made pixel art possible wouldn't have emerged.
The idea of recreating the Atari logo in this way came about for a simple reason: I'm drawn to the retro-futuristic style. I think it fits perfectly with the CRT effect and scanlines I had in mind. Although the design is simple, the result strongly conveys the feeling of standing in front of a retro-futuristic computer.
I hope you enjoy the design!

DESCRIPTION: After a period of inactivity, I'm back with a slightly different pixel art. This time, inspired by Blade Runner (1982). The idea came after rewatching the original film and, later, playing Cyberpunk 2077.
The thing is, Blade Runner is one of those films I could watch over and over again, just to enjoy its aesthetic. For that reason, I decided to create a pixel art tribute to this work.
My initial intention was to recreate the famous origami unicorn, so characteristic of the film. However, I then thought, "What if I take the origami design and convert it into a CRT style?" I must admit, the idea sounded fantastic in my head... and it worked!
The hardest part was creating both the CRT effects and getting the design to adapt to the colors of the RGB effect characteristic of those lines. Despite the difficulty, I was able to pull it off in the end. I really enjoyed working with this style because it's unconventional, not to mention the process of choosing the colors: it was pure trial and error.
I hope you like the result!
