Submit a Software Page

Add a piece of software to the Lospec software directory. Anything made for, or commonly used for, pixel art, voxel art, textmode art or chiptune belongs here, as do game engines, libraries and dev kits suited to low-spec art.

Please search the directory first to make sure a page does not already exist. If you are the author of the software, tick the box at the bottom of the form and the page will be yours to keep up to date once it is approved.

Submission Rules

1. Must be for low-spec art

   The software must be made for, or commonly used for, pixel art, voxel art, textmode art, chiptune, or building things with them. General-purpose tools are fine when they are a well known choice for one of those.

2. One page per software

   Search the directory before submitting. If a page already exists, favorite it or submit screenshots and corrections to it instead.

3. Neutral, accurate description

   Describe what the software does and who it is for. No marketing copy, no reviews, and no claims you cannot back up.

4. Real, working links

   Any links must be the official pages for the software: its own site, store or repository page. A homepage is not required for unreleased software. No affiliate links, link shorteners, or reuploads.

5. Correct medium, categories and platforms

   Choose the medium the software is for, every category that fits, and only platforms it officially runs on.

6. No AI image generators

   Tools whose primary purpose is generating images with AI are not listed.

7. Icons and screenshots must be of the software

   The icon should be the software's own icon or logo. Screenshots must show the software itself, not artwork made with it.

If your submission does not meet these requirements it will most likely be rejected and will not be visible on Lospec.
