The Lospec Palette List is a database of palettes for pixel art. We include both palettes that originate from old hardware that could only display a few colors, as well as palettes created by pixel artists specifically for making art. All palettes can be downloaded and imported into your pixelling software of choice (learn how). You can also try a our palette of the day or a random palette.
A palette inspired by the gameboy and a certain flag (which you can see in the 2nd example, thanks a lot Beta Lyn!), T-Lollipop has 4 colors that give it a dreamlike, and/or night-time feeling. equipped with a very strong hue-shifting, which can even make this palette have two color ramps instead of one, anything can be possible.

A palette made with versatility in mind, while still being limited in the color count.

A palette containing two color ramps, blue and red, which share their same brightest and darkest color (white and black). The colors were made to be flexible, so the blues can work as a bright green too, while the reds can also work as a saturated brown.

A refined version of a palette I've made back then but never uploaded, which results in a mildly desaturated palette, focusing on the yellow to purple hues. In comparison with its first version, a red and black shade were added, which makes the transition between yellow and purple more smoother. Some existing colors were also modified to make them more versatile.

The palette I'm using nowadays for my pixel arts, 14 colors distributed along 5 color ramps (Gray, Green, Blue, Red, Brown), aiming to be flexible in many circunstances, while still not having way too many colors. The most common colors were picked for this palette, which should cover most of your ideas.

An example showing how this palette can be used. There's also the color ramps at the left side, which shows how some of these ramps (such as Green and Blue, or Red and Brown) connect with each other. - by

My second try at 1-bit palettes. Unlike Nostalgi2 (another palette of mine) which was desaturated, this palette goes the opposite way, focusing on pastel colors by having a bright gray and saturated white. Now you can truly go for a soft look in your 1-bit art.

Inspired by one of my past palettes (Rampy16), this 12 color palette has 3 color ramps, with each of these connecting with the same brightest color (white) and their respective darkest color (such as purple and dark blue, or blue/purple and black). Made with versatility in mind while also being colorful.

A modified and extended version of the Nostalgi2 palette. equipped with 8 desaturated colors that can give a nostalgic feeling to your art.

(Probably) my final take on the Nostalgi palette series. 14 desaturated colors placed in 5 (6, if you count a different color a new) different ramps (gray, green/blue, red, brown, purple), with many of these colors being shared between ramps (most noticeably the dark purple/brown, which is shared between all ramps except gray!). Due to this, the connections of colors between ramps was improved in comparison with Nostalgi8, which should allow for smoother transitions between colors. An all-in-one palette for desaturated colors.

A reduced version of a grayscale palette I've made some time ago. Meant to give a softer look to 1-bit art.
