I really like this desaturated color look! But if you want some advices:
You use a lot of colors that are very close to each other, it's best to keep colour count to a minimum when possible.
When you want a color to look different from one just next to it, make sure it contrast enough. For example, the boy's pants have 2 colors, one for light and one for shadow, but it's hard to see the shadow at first. Whereas it's impossible not to see the difference in colour between the girl's legs and the girl's legs outline.
