After finalizing the mountain design, I wanted to do something different and interesting. Purely by chance, Grimes' Oblivion started playing on my playlist. I rarely listen to her music, but I have to admit it's amazing. So I thought: What if I make the Oblivion single cover in pixel art? But at the same time, another idea came to me: What if I give the design a 3D effect?
And that's what I did: I created the cover in pixel art with a three-dimensional effect.
To achieve this, I used only three colors (not counting the white background): black, an almost neon green, and a red with pink undertones, with the goal of creating a contrast that evoked movement or a glitch-like effect.
I tried to avoid the design being overwhelming to the viewer, so I opted for soft tones that maintained the visual impact without being uncomfortable. Haha!
I hope you like it!
