A fan of Hollow Knight, Undertale, Portal, and a few other games. Looking at pixel art has improved my understanding of lighting, shading, and blending in digital art, so I decided to give it a try, as well as creating a few game-inspired palettes.

I decided to turn the palette examples for my Backrooms-themed palette, Liminal Lemon (https://lospec.com/palette-list/liminal-lemon), into a collage. All the letters used can be found in the original examples; even the "w", "v", and "r" are pieces of the letters "m" and "n". It's amazing to me just how many different flavors of liminal space there are; for example, in just this picture there is one which feels oppressive (level 0), one which inspires wonder and makes you feel small (poolrooms), and one which fills you with nostalgia and sadness (the empty library).

Honestly, if I had to go back and make one change to this, I would change the word "leave" to "leaving." "Leave" sounds like a threat, and it fits the menace that I originally intended it to have, but now I kind of wish I had leaned into the melancholy side of it more by writing "leaving".
