I am trying to learn how to draw pixel art. Any constructive advice is welcome!

Hi guys! Today I discovered the daily challenges of Lospec and as soon as I read the theme #haunted the ghosts of Super Mario immediately came to mind. So I decided to recreate it not by actually copying the ghost of Super Mario, but by trying to reproduce the essence of that imagery. This is how my little ghost came out! I am very satisfied with the result, the shadows I added I think emphasize even more the scary air and the background in shades of purple even if very simple in my opinion is very cute because it gives the ghost that mystical trail. Let me know what you think and any advice is welcome!

Hi Faker, thanks for your comment! Yes, I'm thinking about upgrading from a 16x16 to a 32x32 in the next few days to give myself more room for creativity and increase the challenge a bit. I'll continue with some 16x16 pixel art to refine some techniques.
