Imagine relaxing within the fresh, salty air beside the sandy beach. It's hot out, and after you sip some fresh coconut juice straight from the coconut, the feeling of heat is briefly forgotten, as you take a moment to appreciate the shelter from the blazing sun- inside the bahay kubo. It's a traditional hut in the Philippines that's made of natural materials like wood, grass, and bamboo. It usually housed one family, and was raised on stilts to protect it from rising waters or pests. Each memory I have of my time in the Philippines contains at least one bahay kubo, where we just chilled in and have some drinks and siopao after a day at the beach. More info on WIkipedia, palette, inspo 1, inspo 2,also i cheated a bit to add lighter blues and made it 18x18 to fit the coconut tree :)
