Mierdinsky @mierdinsky My PC's hard drive crashed two days before I was due to deliver some illustrations, so I had to improvise, using an old computer. Looking for a type of illustration that would suit the machine's capabilities, I discovered pixel art, a technique that video game companies used for graphics in the 80s and much of the 90s. From that day on, I knew my mission was to bring joy to every home through my pixel art and my payments in PDF format. #Bogochentas was one of my most ambitious projects at the time.

I started it in 2015, when I was taking my first steps into isometric pixel art, and completed it in 2017. Each building was created separately and gradually added to a larger composition inspired by 1980s Bogotá.

Today, I see this piece not only as an artwork, but also as a record of my growth as an artist. Each building reflects a different stage of my learning process. What began as a collection of structures eventually became an entire city.

This is one of the first pieces I made in 2016: https://pixeljoint.com/pixelart/105363.htm

Pixel by pixel. Building by building.
