Thank you so much! Tbh, I'm very inspired by artists like Ventiique, Gawrone and hby, FInding other artists to look up to is very important.
I've also done a lot of traditional painting, and so adding organic shapes and blending them is very intuitive for me. Notice how lots of the shapes are smooth rounded blobs and some have AA to smoothen the curves. I started with blocking out large strokes with a round 5-4px brush and just kept refining and doing smaller marks. At one point i rotated everthing by like 40 degrees clockwise lol.Something I recommend is to think in values (black and white). I use a lot of very similar brightness colours next to each other to mimic the ambient light that can create more subtle hue and saturation changes. I use a lot of transition colours, but change the sizing of the "bands", sometimes I will just anti alias, sometimes i will add a lot more pixels.
I also try to use lots of colours, but ensure that each one is important and doing something useful. Find good neutral colours that you can use in larger areas to make the highlights and "special" colours shine more.
