Normally, the kemonomimi, humans or humanoids with animal features, have animal ears on the top of their heads. But for Ray's redesign, I wanted to try something way different: cat ears on both sides of his head.

The reason for this change is because I want to make him less related to the furry theme and more related to the fantasy theme, especially to the world he hails from (Tellirian). But to not change him more drastically, I retained his previous design on Raien, Ray's true form.
