This is for the Pokemon TCG New Deck Plus project, where the art for every card is being redrawn by different pixel artists. I chose this one because magmar is one of my favorites and Fossil was one of my favorite card sets. The original art from the game is already really good, but I felt a close-up with cleaner lines would be an improvement. Also focused less on the background and more on the pokemon.
