in a story i'm making, aegis morta (a mistranslation of what i originally thought meant "defender of life", which actually ironically means "you are dead" lol) is a sword meant to defend the world from a rogue god's incursion. although sealed away long ago, it still lies in an ancient temple deep underground, awaiting its next chance to shine through.
