The topic of "What kind of sword would X person be?" came up, as it often does among nerds, and one answer was so unbelievably obvious that I felt inspired - no, obligated - to try my hand at animating fire for the first time. It umm... It came out way better than I was expecting. Fire is pretty fun, guys.
