I found the shadows of the other hands confusing. I can't quite tell the story that's being told here. Are they reaching for something? Are they reaching for her? The confidence on her face makes me feel like maybe they are reaching for her, but her shadow puppet is going to provide protection.
To be honest, it was hard to decide whether or not to include these hand shadows. I thought they might be unnecessary, but I decided to leave them in as an experiment anyway. I wanted to create something like a shadow play using the hands, with a heroine who could very well control these shadows.
