I'm wondering: how fast is Charlie going?

Well, I did the math. Assuming the speed bar goes from 0 MPH/KPH to 35MPH / 50 KPH, we can take the length of the bar (in pixels) and then divide 50 by the length (40), we get 1.25. Now multiply that by where the white bar is (24 pixels), we get 30 KPH/18.5 MPH. The fastest a human has ever swimmer is 5 MPH/8 KP. This child is swimming faster than is humanly possible.
