HSL-256 Palette

This is a general 256-color palette obtained by combining 16 evenly distributed hues at 3 levels of saturation and 5 levels of lightness, completed with a 16-step grey ramp. Best viewed in a 16x16 arrangement. The colors with more saturation cover smaller dynamic ranges of lightness to avoid useless duplication at the low and high ends. The direct inspiration was the Commodore Plus/4's palette, which follows the same general idea but missing dark and desaturated colors.
