Palette List submit

The Lospec Palette List is a database of palettes for pixel art. We include both palettes that originate from old hardware that could only display a few colors, as well as palettes created by pixel artists specifically for making art. All palettes can be downloaded and imported into your pixelling software of choice (learn how). You can also try a random palette.

PAX-24

Created by adam

An all-purpose semi-saturated palette for atmospheric pixel art. I tried to get as much work as possible from those 8 extra colors.

PK40

Created by zephram

Palette designed for drawing people, animals, objects, and materials in both pixel and high-resolution art. There is a large variety of flesh tones.

Some materials such as oxidized bronze, glass, gold, slime, etc. are tricky to render using this palette, but they can be done. Good specular highlights make a big difference for such materials.
