I cannot stop staring at this. It's amazing! I don't know if I know how to ask this right, but how do you decide which colors to put together to create the effect of another color? And how do you decide what patterns of dithering to use?

Thank you so much! I used a dithered version of the original reference image as a guide for the colours. Then from some experimentation I found what pattern/colour combinations I thought worked best :)
