The Wikipedia Encyclepedia has a list of traditional colors used in Japanese art, literature, and textiles: (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traditional_colors_of_Japan). A while ago, I took some of these colors for clothing palettes (in the off chance a work of mine had a Japanese/Asian-esque culture). A while later I aranged them, used the palette ananlyzer, and then thought to myself "wow, this actually works pretty good as a pixel-art palette." Of course, you can be the judge of that. This palette heavily focuses on warm colors, as you can probably tell. I think that gives it its unique "texture" so to say.
