The Lospec Palette List is a database of palettes for pixel art. We include both palettes that originate from old hardware that could only display a few colors, as well as palettes created by pixel artists specifically for making art. All palettes can be downloaded and imported into your pixelling software of choice (learn how). A sample of the colors that early Minecraft textures used. Intended to be used in the way a palette of paints would be, mixing colors to get the needed shades, rather than a restrictive hardware palette such as that of the NES, but it works either way.

This is the palette of colors that can be displayed on minecraft maps/canvas in version 1.17. This was tested in 1.17.1 and contains all available colors. Minecraft Maps are frequently used for pixel arts, which is why this palette is relevant.The origin of this palette is from the game Minecraft and the values were taken from the official wiki and do represent the actual values in the code. Colors can only be completely visible or transparent, there is no partial opacity. In addition to all colors of this palette it is (technically) possible to add complete transparency (alpha layer).

Minecraft Maps are frequently used for pixel arts, which is why this palette is relevant.The origin of this palette is from the game Minecraft and the values were taken from the official wiki and do represent the actual values in the code. The first color (#000000) is not included as a visible color in the palette, but represents complete transparency. Colors were de-duplicated (for example there are four color codes that represent total transparency, therefore only the first one is included). Colors can only be completely visible or transparent, there is no partial opacity. The original color that was used for complete transparency is irrelevant, every pixel with more than 50% transparency is converted to complete transparency, everything with less than this transparency is converted to the base color without any transparency.

My Minecraft server uses the Artmap plugin, which allows you to paint on 32x32 pixel canvases with 54 dyes. Each dye (except white, black, and transparent) can be made 2 steps darker and 1 step lighter, leading to 4 variations per dye. As a result, I decided to compile them all.
The colours are ordered as: Dark 2, Dark 1, Original, Light 1, and each set of 4 is followed by the next dye's palette.

I painted all the dyes on canvas ingame, took a screenshot, then extracted every colour through an editor. I then listed out every hex code. To my Minecraft artists: I hope this helps!
