Here is a well-balanced palette based on 4 high-sat base colors, 4 medium-sat base colors, and a blue-grey. Each has a light and dark shade, with some of them being extended further, to give a better range for earth/wood/gold/aqua materials. Based on the palette used for a JRPG engine I was making a long while ago... which was originally based on Fantasy 24 with some added purples, but for this, I recreated all the colors from scratch.

A moody, desaturated palette lacking a strong red or blue. Some fleshtones leading into neutral brown and also some greys leading into the cool / metallic. Sort of works as an extension of Tokyo Lo-Fi 8 although I didn't plan it that way.

I was browsing for an interesting minimal color palette for an upcoming project and I came across the charming Melon Tree. Unfortunately the artist's first and only submission to the site. This variation keeps all the original colors; adds a couple blues and golds for diversity; a darker brown for depth. Although I still quite like the first one I hope someone will find this useful.
