This palette follows PC-98 specs: 16 colors in 12-bit RGB colordepth (4096 different possible colors, R G and B values have 64 distinct steps ). I developed it with GrafX2 while making the sampled portrait, so it's meant to be used for warm-ish dithered illustrations. All three ramps (pink, skintone, gray-to-brown) interlock and join at the light and dark ends, so within their very limited colorspace they should be somewhat versatile.

These are all the unique colors used for interior tilesets in the GameBoy Advance games Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire. I collected every color found in the .pal files in the "Building" folder of pokeruby, the disassembly project for Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire, converted all the RGB values to HEX, removed any duplicate color shared between palettes and tried to order them as logically as I could. The original palettes can be found here: https://github.com/pret/pokeruby/tree/master/data/tilesets/primary/building/palettes

Safe*, 86 colors "dystopian-encounters" palette, primarily made for custom "cabin" backgrounds in "Frontier: First Encounters" (FFE) aka Elite 3.
Palette is extracted (and sorted afterward) as union of all 6 original "cabin" background colorspaces. It was missing for <30 years.
It provides very dystopian, cold and dark atmosphere, although it is possible to make bright and pleasant setup (e.g. CABIN4.BMP). Moreover, it is intended for blurry backgrounds (not so often found as pixel art, imo).
*It is considered safe because it does not interfere with ("infamous") videos playing on top of it: all (or most) other colors from DOS Mode13h VGA 256 palette are reserved for video reproduction. Although: it is allowed to use all 256 colors in FFE for bkgs, but weird videos are becoming even more strange then, and parts of backgrounds start to dynamicaly and randomly change colors. Moreover, colors are not restored entirely afterwards (when video stops).
