The Lospec Palette List is a database of palettes for pixel art.
We include both palettes that originate from old hardware that could only display a few colors, as well as palettes created by pixel artists specifically for making art.

The nicer on the eyes modernised GBC palette used in the Johto Redrawn artwork. Made for use in my project #JohtoReborn - remaking a "best of Gen 2" game in Unity using the gorgeous pixel art.

Yet another gbc palette, this comes from the sprites of Pokemon Puzzle Challenge, courtesy of the spriters resource. The games sprites have a really nice pop and pastelish look I really liked. It also has a surprisingly decent selection of skin tones. The simple variety of colors could work an rpg, portraits, or anything you'd like.

A modern GBC style colour palette made to be used in sets of 2 ramps making 8 colours a ramp, or in their initial ramps of 4. There are some duplicates, so the colour count is 21 instead of 24. Based on Witching Hour.

This is a small palette inspired by few colors I saw on color-hunt. I thought the colors had a steampunk aesthetic and would well with pixel-art. Feel free to use it how you want.

This palette is based on the Game Boy Color game Survival Kids 2, which was only released in Japan. I use a bunch of screenshots from the game and extracted the colors, then reduced it as much as possible without losing too much of the original charm. The original game had more subtle variations between shades on different maps, and probably has hundreds of different colors, but i think this approximation is like 95% accurate, and much easier to use. Black is used heavily on all parts of the games, the next 16 colors are used for sprites and cutscenes, and the rest of the palette is for background environment tiles. It should be noted this is based on the output from an emulator, and the real game would be much more desatured on an actual gameboy, but I like how they look with these bright colors. Different emulators can also display the colors differently, so this isn't an official palette, just an interpretation. In the end I converted it to 15-bit RGB (each value is divisible by 8) like the gameboy color uses, the difference was negligible.
