The Lospec Palette List is a database of palettes for pixel art. We include both palettes that originate from old hardware that could only display a few colors, as well as palettes created by pixel artists specifically for making art.

It was going to be a 6 colour palette but it was better if I added red. This is the first time I do a non linear palette so unbalanced and it turned nice

Larger, updated version of my Moonlight GB palette. Palette is suitable for night scenes, underwater, or bioluminescence. It has a mystical, ethereal feeling.

This is based off the cartoon Hilda, which has some beautiful art, in no small part due to the colors. I created this by grabbing colors from over a dozen screenshots from the show, and picking out the most important colors. I originally had over 70, but reduced it to a much smaller 32 so it would better reflect the cartoon's simplicity. This is intended to be used for daytime scenes, I did not include dusk or night scenes, as I felt they wouldn't mix well (they could possibly made as separate palettes). I originally made this in 2020 but wasn't totally happy with it until I posted in with some other unfinished palettes on discord, and there seemed to be some demand to finish it. So I spend a few hours putting some final touches on it, and am pretty happy with the result! I would reccomend looking at some hilda screenshots for ideas on how to use it.

Ciboulette (French chives) are known in culinary for its fresh, mild onion-like flavor and are employed in many dishes throughout the world. This palette captures the greenery of the leaves, the brown dirt and the delicate pink flowers to compose a pastel-like, well-rounded palette which goes well with mellow, natural compositions but will also work for slimes and grime.

A tiny little palette based on a similar palette I put together back in '18 (my oldest pixel art palette, in fact, which was never shared on this website.) designed not only to be as multi-purpose as possible, but as a way of telling the user-base of LoSpec.com (including myself) to get out and experience the natural world (I'm into hiking and camping and all that!) The colors were inspired by pine trees, cliff faces, and, as the name suggests, the Aurora.
