The Lospec Palette List is a database of palettes for pixel art.
We include both palettes that originate from old hardware that could only display a few colors, as well as palettes created by pixel artists specifically for making art.
A 13-color indexed palette intended for retro-inspired pixel art and constrained color workflows. Suitable for game assets and limited palette environments. Converts automatically (in GIMP) to standard Commodore 64, EGA, PCjr (Tandy1000), Pico-8, CGA composite, and many more palettes. Perfect for pixel artists and game asset artists who want versatility that will work almost anywhere. Create graphics once, convert to almost any retro platform, and you're done!

A refined version of my "Z64" palette. I've spent more time on smooth ramping, swapped out a few colours to balance the spectrum, and done a bunch of tinkering with sprite creation to get this just right. A vibrant selection intended to cover all the needs of a retro game or art project. ♥

Working from my Jehkoba64 palette and trimming down to half as many colours (including transparency), this 32-colour selection is perfect for emulating early SNES-style graphics, with vibrant tones and smooth ramping. Guaranteed to satisfy that retro itch. ♥

I thought that a couple Super Nintendo Games, specially Super Mario World and Earthbound had somewhat similar feels to their palettes, and tried to condense a hybrid of them into 16 colours

The fifteen colors (not counting transparency) available to use in the famous Mario Paint drawing and animation studio for the SNES. Some "palettes" on the toolbar were composed of patterns such as dither, lava lamp, or rainbow, but they all used these colors.
