The Lospec Palette List is a database of palettes for pixel art. We include both palettes that originate from old hardware that could only display a few colors, as well as palettes created by pixel artists specifically for making art.

Working from my Jehkoba64 palette and trimming down to half as many colours (including transparency), this 32-colour selection is perfect for emulating early SNES-style graphics, with vibrant tones and smooth ramping. Guaranteed to satisfy that retro itch. ♥

My first palette, predecessor to the refined "Jehkoba64". ♥
Sample banner for the Z64 colour palette. Includes two scenes (one cheerful in the springtime, the other a sunset in a rocky canyon), alongside seven example item icons. A miniature palette with all 63 colours (discluding a transparent swatch) can be seen at the bottom middle.

I thought that a couple Super Nintendo Games, specially Super Mario World and Earthbound had somewhat similar feels to their palettes, and tried to condense a hybrid of them into 16 colours

The third version of my 63-swatches-plus-transparency palette, further refined and tweaked. Previous versions include "Jehkoba64" (v2.0) and "Z64" (V1.0).

A Tropical GBA Palette! This was originally made for my game Mind of Glo, but I shared it because it was nice :)

A Super Nintendo Sprite Palette I Made With The 16 Color Limit Of The SNES Palette, And Uses The 15 Bit RGB Of The SNES, "Each SNES sprite can have 16 colors and a palette slot out of 8 total palette slots." (https://megacatstudios.com/blogs/retro-development/snes-sprite-engine-design-guidelines)

The fifteen colors (not counting transparency) available to use in the famous Mario Paint drawing and animation studio for the SNES. Some "palettes" on the toolbar were composed of patterns such as dither, lava lamp, or rainbow, but they all used these colors.
