The Lospec Palette List is a database of palettes for pixel art. We include both palettes that originate from old hardware that could only display a few colors, as well as palettes created by pixel artists specifically for making art. All palettes can be downloaded and imported into your pixelling software of choice (learn how). You can also try a our palette of the day or a random palette, or a palette from our Rejected Palettes list.

A refined version of my "Z64" palette. I've spent more time on smooth ramping, swapped out a few colours to balance the spectrum, and done a bunch of tinkering with sprite creation to get this just right. A vibrant selection intended to cover all the needs of a retro game or art project. ♥

Cheerful-24 is a palette that has a wide range of colour, mainly focusing on the blue, green and brown side, which makes it a good palette for landscapes, forests, etc. Hope you like it!

Learning to further reduce my colour count, this palette emulates classic NES-level restrictions while working off the feel of my '32 and '64 files. Soft tones, smooth ramps, and plenty of retro vibes. ♥

This is the Cheerful-32 palette. This palette is similar to my previous palette, Cheerful-24, but this palette has 32 colours (duh) and focuses more on the warm colours, rather than the cold. Hope you like it!

A palette fine-tuned over the years for a bright pop of color that doesn't strain the eyes. I use it for most of my art these days, and you might call it my master palette. It can be used in a wide variety of situations. The reddish-black and near-black blue lend themselves well to dim environments or space. The purplish grays lend a certain flair to metal and stone, and help fill out the otherwise small selection of purples. Initially inspired by Kirby 15, which is where the name comes from.
