The Lospec Palette List is a database of palettes for pixel art. We include both palettes that originate from old hardware that could only display a few colors, as well as palettes created by pixel artists specifically for making art.

Borealis

Created by anonymous867

A tiny little palette based on a similar palette I put together back in '18 (my oldest pixel art palette, in fact, which was never shared on this website.) designed not only to be as multi-purpose as possible, but as a way of telling the user-base of LoSpec.com (including myself) to get out and experience the natural world (I'm into hiking and camping and all that!) The colors were inspired by pine trees, cliff faces, and, as the name suggests, the Aurora.

Log Dog II

Created by anonymous867

A less-specialized version of my own palette "Log Dog" with a larger range of colors. Some colors have been altered (RIP gray.) to allow most pixel art to be faithfully recreated with only sixteen colors, including nearly anything made with the original "Log Dog". The colors have also been arranged from lightest to darkest in the palette example.

ABOMINA61E GLOWMAN (kuusikymmentäyksi)

Created by anonymous867

A 61-color monster palette: what have I wrought upon this world. Enjoy using this site's first 61-color palette.

  • ABOMINA61E GLOWMAN (kuusikymmentäyksi) Palette Example by Noah Rowlands

All sixty-one colors are used (somewhat messily) here. At least ten inside jokes between me and my friends, as well as a reference to a low-effort palette example I once made for a deleted palette example are included here. - by anonymous867

LOG DOG

Created by anonymous867

A palette originally intended for a sixteen-color image drawn by me, but it can be used in a variety of ways, due to it supporting large ramps that can approximate a wide range of colors, despite its lack of green. It is very good at smoothing out banding, if detail is added.

Swamper Romper

Created by anonymous867

A dark, muddy, and moody palette with two easy-to-see ramps, but many more can be constructed from this small 7-color palette. P.S., I hid a message in the color hex codes, can you find it?
